Executive Business Certificate

Broad knowledge of the many areas of business is essential for organizational leaders in today's competitive environment. This program allows you to acquire skills quickly and focus solely on the business content you need. Gain a deeper understanding of business decision-making, financial analysis, and strategic thinking to succeed in various industries. This program is delivered in a traditional online experience or by our Maverick Flex Path program which is delivered in a competency-based education (CBE) format, which emphasizes the demonstration of mastery in defined skills and knowledge areas (competencies) rather than time spent in class. While all Maverick Flex Path courses operate within the university’s standard academic calendar, multiple start dates throughout each term are offered to provide added flexibility. Policies specific to Maverick Flex Path govern enrollment periods, progress expectations, faculty engagement, and grading procedures, as outlined in the university’s policy framework. Note that a student must be enrolled in a Maverick Flex Path program to take Maverick Flex Path courses.

General Application Requirements and Admission Criteria

Application Deadlines

• ​Fall 2027: Applications for htis program are accepted on a rolling basis. All materials must be submitted prior to the beginning of the semester in which the student has elected to begin coursework.

Other Requirements

• A minimum of six (6) years of professional-level work experience is required
• English Language Proficiency: Applicants are required to have a command of oral and written English. Those who do not hold a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from the United States, OR a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from a predetermined country on the waiver list, must meet the minimum language proficiency score requirement in order to be considered for admission.
  • Internet-based TOEFL: 80, IELTS: 6.5, PTE: 53, Duolingo: 110 
• Statement of Purpose: In one page or less, describe how your interest and completion of this program will help you achieve your career goals.
• Resume: Current resume detailing employment history, specific job responsibilities, accomplishments, leadership roles, and community involvement.
